Interview: Desiree Cousteau

Desiree Cousteau is one of the best known beauties in the X-rated world. Her classic figure has devastated audiences nationwide since her debut in PRETTY PEACHES, on through her appearances in PIZZA GIRLS, DEEP RUB, and INSIDE DESIREE COUSTEAU. She's successfully parlayed her screen popularity into a hot strip act too and is one of the most accessible porn stars because of her willingness to travel to smaller burlesque houses around the US and Canada. It was during one of these engagements, at New York's Melody Burlesque that Desiree announced she was leaving films. Fans and industry alike mourn her loss and we thought we'd take this last opportunity to find out where she came from, before she's gone, and why she wants to leave all this.

CAV: How did you get into hardcore films?

DESIREE: I was a go-go girl. Then I met Alex deRenzy and he asked me if I'd like to be in a movie. That was PRETTY PEACHES, the first film I did. It was delightful and I loved every minute of it.

CAV: Were you always into sex?

DESIREE: Well, when i turned 17 all of a sudden one day I discovered sex. And that was it. I didn't do everything at one time, I kind of eased into it. But I did do all those things at a pretty tender age. I started making movies around 23.

CAV: On the whole, has making films been a good experience?

DESIREE: Oh yeah. I learned things about myself I'd never have learned otherwise.

CAV: Which film would you consider your best?

Interview: Juliet Anderson [Aunt Peg]

 One of the most refreshing additions to adult films in the past few years has been Juliet Anderson. After being bombarded with a multitude of busty beauties who become faceless after a time, Ms. Anderson's worldly, more experienced craving for sexual fulfillment comes as a nice alternative.

CAV: There has recently been some debate over how best to describe the explicit action that's the core of adult films. Descriptions range from making love, to having sex, to fucking. Do you apply labels to your various erotic experiences both on and off the screen?

JULIET: First of all, making love is just semantics, the words we use. In my vocabulary there is a difference between making love, having sex and fucking. Now there are times where I'm having sex, I'm not making love. Which doesn't lessen the value of it. But it's somebody that I don't know, it's almost like Erica Jong's "zipless fuck" in the train - the mind-blowing, incredible orgasms and nobody is hurt. It's so exciting and it's a matter of sharing. Sometimes you get more, sometimes somebody else gets more.

As far as making love, this presupposes a relationship. Certainly in most films, there are very few relationships. Most of the time somebody drives down the street and sees a girl with a 38-D cup and says, "Hi ya, baby!" And she runs over to the car and says, "Oh! Look at that bulge in your pants, I'll bet you've got a great cock!" And he says, "Jump in" And they're making it right there. Well, that does happen. And I know that I personally involve myself in my private life in things like that every once in a while. It's like a hot fudge sundae - something you like occasionally but not all the time.

Already twice this year, CAV has reviewed at least three features that were solidly and tastefully put together; films that managed to involve the viewer in the story without losing any heat. WOMAN IN LOVE, DEEP RUB, and AMERICAN DESIRE all seemed to this reviewer to reach the highwater mark in erotic cinema, and now HIGH SCHOOL MEMORIES joins that list.

Everyone who cares knows that Anthony Spinelli is one of the best directors in the business. His films have that "professional" look needed to garner bookings in the best theaters. Personally, I have sometimes felt that he gave so much  attention to the non-sexual material that his sex scenes seemed a bit perfunctory. Not so with this his latest release.

HIGH SCHOOL MEMORIES is hotter than an adolescent's wet dream. It is a landscape people with lubricous cheerleaders who cheerfully spread for randy footballers. There is enough wacko silliness to make you think you're watching yet another exercise in undergraduate humor. But wait! Something is different.

For one thing, the humor is handled by a naturalness and deftness beyond the reach of all but the most accomplished Hollywood actors. Porno people may not be able to play 'style', but give them characters close to themselves, a little freedom to ad lib and be spontaneous , and they can sometimes be completely convincing.

Interview: Seka Talks Dirty

The fabulous Seka needs no introduction to fans of porno movies. One of the true superstars of the erotic film industry, she has been called the quintessential pornstar. Her highly charged blonde sexuality is envied by women and lusted after by men. Her films include Blonde Fire, Inside Seka, My Sister Seka, Prisoner of Paradise, Any Time, Any Place, Erotic Interlude, F... and lots of it and Princess Seka.

This writer had been trying to interview Seka for two years, and finally caught up with her a few months ago in San Francisco, where she was making some videos. Our extremely intimate interview was conducted at Trader Vic's Restaurant.

ClassicAdultVideo: You're big box office in the X-rated film and television market, aren't you?

SEKA: I've done a lot of X-rated films and video cassettes. I've been around the block, you might say. The films and video, for the most part, have been good (laughs). There are too many to name... You've probably seen some of them. Do you masturbate watching my films?

CAV: I have... (laughs) Inside Seka was one of my favorites. And do you enjoy masturbation?

It's billed as "hardcore software - the ultimate sex fantasy for adults" - and that just about describes it. And later that evening, when his other roommate Howie talks enthusiastically about a new computer dating service, Peter gets turned on by all the possibilities offered by tapping into the Compudate network.

Peter becomes obsessed with his efforts to break into the dating network. He doesn't even notice when his girlfriend walks out on him. He keeps at it until he breaks the Compudate code. Now he can date any girl who turns him on. His first date is Colleen, a spoiled rich girl who teaches Peter some kinky tricks that are new to him.

Identifying himself as "John Smith", our hero rifles through the tapes of all the available girls.
